Paint Correction
What is Paint Correction?
Have you ever looked at your car on a sunny day and have seen tons of scratches across your car’s paint? Do you have a certain spot on your car where a bird’s droppings or some other foreign substance left a “stain” and does not come off even after washing? Well these imperfections can not be removed as easily as you think, in fact, the only way to remove these imperfections on your vehicle’s paint is to either repaint your entire vehicle, OR do a paint correction.
A paint correction in technical terms is a process where we remove surface level imperfections by leveling out the clear coat, or just simply a removal of imperfections on the surface of a vehicle’s paint.
While a paint correction can definitely remove a good majority of surface level scratches and other imperfections, it will not necessarily remove everything. However, it will definitely revive your car’s paint and make it look better than before.
Do I Need To Get Paint Correction Done Before Getting A Ceramic Coating?
The short answer is no, it is not necessary to do a paint correction before applying a ceramic coating. However, there are benefits to doing so.
This is like when you add a screen protector to your smartphone, cleaning and removing any imperfections on the screen is recommended when applying that screen protector. You would want your phone to be as perfect as can be under the screen protector right? Similarly, in order to apply a ceramic coating as best as possible, it is recommended that even a simple paint correction, which removes surface level scratches, should be done beforehand. Doing so will ensure that the ceramic coating will get applied to a surface that is scratch free as possible and allow the nano ceramic coating technology to bond properly to the car’s paint.
